Knit Ins!!!!!! Fun!!!

Wow! It's winter again.... and with winter comes KNIT-INs... yea!!! This year things will be a little different. Each month there will be a surprise. No one but Carol knows what that will be, so mark your calendar for each of the 4 special nights. Bring your knitting, friend, and smiles for 4 awesome nights of fun and friendship!

We'll also have an extra special treat.... how about a chair massage! Jeremy Shipley will be doing chair massages.... $10 for 10 minutes.

Summer in February!!

For your shopping and knitting convenience, we will be open every Sunday in February from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Come in, get away from the kids, husband and housework! Put your feet up, stay awhile, and knit the winter away. We will be having a beach theme with snacks, drinks and fun. Be there or be square!

Cold Feet Sock Club!!!

1.  This is not a class.You must know how to make socks. There is no charge.....you can come every month or just once...
2.  Even months (Feb, April, June...)....if your last name begins with the letters A-L, bring 1 copy of a free sock pattern. We will randomly draw 4 or 5 from the pile of patterns. We will then vote on the pattern of the month.
3.  Odd months (Jan, March, May...)......  if your name begins with M-Z , you will bring the free pattern....Get it?
4.  Each month you will bring at least ONE of the socks to show.... provided you were there for the previous pattern... if not, join the fun this month and bring your sock for show-and-tell next month... no pressure.
5.  We may decide that the people who do not bring a pattern, bring a little snack to share... it's really all about the snacks:-)

Gatherings are held the last Thursday of the month.... join the fun? No reservation necessary.

Clearly Clever Crochet Club.... Carol Conway (Crochet Cween)

The clever crocheters meet at Simply fibers on MOST Thursday afternoons from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Crochet classes (advanced registration required) are usually held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays and alternate with Club Days on 2nd and 4th Thursdays.
Club Days are crochet and conversation meetings to work on projects together. Everyone is welcome and beginners can schedule instruction.

Private Lessons...

Simply fibers has very talented knitters available for private tutoring by appointment.Just a beginner or needing help learning a new technique? Bring a friend and form your own knitting class. Work on a project together with the help of a seasoned knitter to help you along the way. Or maybe you really want to learn to knit but our schedule doesn't work with yours... give us a call at 417-881-9276 to set up an appointment.


Maddi is available for private knitting lessons by appointment. $20 per hour.


Project Class by Vanessa - Pick your garment and pick Vanessa's brain for 4 sessions. Get a friend and knit something special together! Vanessa will help you get started and hopefully finish knitting all the pieces. cost $45 plus supplies. By appointment only.... reserve your space now.

And old craft revitalized!  Come in and Carol (as time allows) will give you the "quickie" version of how to punch needle! We have lots of patterns, needles, and wonderful floss!

Beginning Knitting by Maddi, cost $20 plus supplies......  Limit 4 per session

Zig Zag Scarf by Becky, cost $20 plus supplies......  Limit 4 per session

NOTE: You must know how to knit and purl to take this class. You will learn short rows, SSK. This is a beautiful scarf and looks great made with varigated yarn.

Socks on Double Pointed Needles by Jill, cost $25 plus pattern and supplies.... must have 2 people signed up to hold a class. Limit 5 people to a class.

  • First Session... Saturday, January 12th, 26th and February 9th; 10:30am - 12:30pm

  • Second Session... Saturday, February 15th, March 1st and 15th; 10:30am - 12:30pm

Beginning Lace... a block a month. by Jill, cost $60 plus book and supplies.... must have 2 people signed up to hold a class. Limit 5 people to a class.

Learn lace techniques by knitting a lace scarf in blocks. A block each month! Sessions will be held on the first Monday of each month from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

One Sock, Cuff Down, Two Circular Needles by Sally, cost $45 plus supplies. There will be 4 sessions for each class and you will complete one sock. Must have 2 people signed up to hold a class. Limit 4 people to a class.

  • Saturday, February 2nd and 16th, March 1st and 15th; 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

One Sock, Toe Up, Two Circular Needles by Sally, cost $45 plus supplies.There will be 4 sessions for each class and you will complete one sock. Must have 2 people signed up to hold a class. Limit 4 people to a class.

  • Saturday, February 2nd and 16th, March 1st and 15th; 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Needle Felting On A Garment: Shoes, Shirt and Vest by Sheila, cost $15 plus supplies. Must have 2 people signed up to hold a class.

You will need to have a small design in mind to do on the corner of a collar or cuff; maybe you have wool Berks and would like to needle felt a small design on them. Supplies will include roving for felting and a felting needle which are available in the shop.

Needle Felted Easter Eggs by Sheila, cost $20 plus kit (supplied by Sheila), $20. Must have 2 people signed up to hold a class.

We will design five Easter eggs that will last for years to come. Paster colored eggs with decorations making each one different; make them as primitive or as elegant as you wish.

  • Saturday, February 16th; 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

Needle Felted Sheep by Sheila, cost $20 plus kit (supplied by Sheila), $20. Must have 2 people signed up to hold a class.

We will make a woolly sheep to stand on your mantle or table. We'll use both roving and yarn.
